Mr Macaroni fires back, denies rape allegation, blames Tinubu supporters for 'Propaganda'

Nigerian actor, comedian, and prominent activist Adebowale Adedayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has vehemently denied a "horrendous and distasteful" rape allegation leveled against him on X (formerly Twitter).

The allegation, posted by the user @Lukurawa16703, accused the activist of raping a 17-year-old girl and using the police to oppress her family.

The accusation was made in response to a tweet where Mr Macaroni was criticizing President Bola Tinubu's administration over escalating insecurity.

In a sharp rebuttal, Mr Macaroni claimed his accuser was a supporter of President Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stating the allegation was deliberate "propaganda" aimed at silencing him for holding the government accountable.

"This tweet also serves as an opportunity to strongly refute this ridiculous accusation and any other kind from the infested supporters of the APC because I expect their disease to continue to spread as I won’t stop criticizing this abomination of a government!"

Mr Macaroni announced his intention to take legal action against the individual behind the X account to "serve as a deterrent to others."

He has publicly appealed for information that would help him identify the accuser and proceed with the necessary legal steps.
