Mr. Ibu: Late actor's corpse arrives hometown ahead of burial

The body of well-known Nollywood actor John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, has made its way to his hometown, Enugu State.

The late actor's second son and several family members were present when the body came on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

Recall that following a protracted illness that resulted in the amputation of one of his legs, the renowned actor passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, aged 62, at Evercare Hospital in Lagos from cardiac arrest.

Before his sudden demise, he was confirmed to have had damaged blood vessels.

While he was battling for his health, his family had appealed for funds to cater for the late actor's hospital bills and other expenses.

The family disclosed that Mr Ibu had constant clotting of the blood in his leg [diseased blood vessels] and other health challenges posing a risk to his life, therefore the need for the amputation.
