Mixed reactions as Arewa Youth honors Yul Edochie

The Northern Youths Consultative Forum has acknowledged and commended Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie for his works towards nation building.

The filmmaker, ecstatic to have been recognized, recorded the occasion in the convenience of his Abuja office.

Yul described how the eminent body had deemed him deserving of the title "Shield and Protector of Northern Youths and Icon of Nation Building" on his Instagram page.

According to Yul, the title was give to him in recognition of his support for the young people and involvement in nation building.

Many people praised the actor in the comments section, however, others chastised him for "competing" with his first wife May Edochie.

They stated that because May recently bagged an award in the industry, Yul has also paid people to bestow him with an award.
