Mercy Chinwo to organize free concert in Lagos to celebrate Easter

Nigerian gospel artist Mercy Chinwo will perform live for the first time in Lagos to celebrate this year's Easter.

It has been verified that the public is welcome to attend the free concert which is themed "Overwhelming Joy." The show is scheduled to take place at Eko Hotels and Suites on Friday, March 29, 2024.

According to a statement released by Mercy Chinwo's record label, Grace and Truth Nation (GNT), she will release her 12-track album, "Overwhelming Victory," which she recorded while pregnant.

Mercy Chinwo added that Romans 8:37 served as the inspiration for her latest album.

She said, “Overwhelming Victory embodies the spiritual victory which we possess through Christ’s love. The album, through songs like ‘Father Eh’, and ‘My Lover’, showcases various aspects of this victory, faithfulness, might, joy and reassurance in our faith journey. It’s created to uplift, inspire and affirm the listeners’ faith, offering spiritual insight and encouragement.

“Overwhelming Victory marks a new chapter in my personal and artistic journey. The creative process involved international focus, late nights and a deeper commitment to sharing my faith journey.”
