May Edochie reacts to PeteEdochie’s latest achievement

May Edochie, the first wife of Nollywood actor and director Yul Edochie has congratulated her father in-law Pete Edochie after he received doctorates in literature and arts.

The veteran actor received two doctorates from Togo University, ISTM on Wednesday, August 30, along with a lifetime achievement award.

Representatives from the university paid a visit to the legendary actor at his home to present the award plaque and certificates, as shown in the widely circulated viral video.

Pete Edochie received additional decorations and plagues, which he then posed and took pictures with.

The 39-year-old shared her father-in-law's accomplishment on Thursday, September 7, on her Instagram page and expressed her gratitude to the university for awarding him such degrees.

She captioned the post: “It’s a double celebration. Only a veteran and legend gets decorated twice on the same day.

“Thanks to ISTM University for making the right decision to confer the degrees of “Doctorate of Arts” and “Doctorate of Literature” on the @peteedochie the great; a man of honor, a man of dignity, and a father to all. The Lion of Africa.

“My prayer is that the good Lord will continue to strengthen you and mummy and give you only reasons to celebrate and be celebrated.”
