Maryam Sanda: If it's not working, leave - Toyin Abraham speaks on marriage

In reaction to the death sentence issued to Maryam Sanda for killing her husband, actress Toyin Abraham has advised couples to go their separate ways if their marriage isn't working.

Maryam Sanda was sentenced to death by a High Court in Abuja yesterday for stabbing to death her husband Bilyaminu Bello.

Police say Maryam Sanda stabbed the husband with broken bottles after she discovered a text message on his phone that hinted at infidelity.

Reacting to the sentence she got, Toyin Abraham who last year got remarried after a messy divorce from actor Adeniyi Johnson took to social media to express grief.

She wrote:

"if it’s not working please leave. I’m heartbroken. The baby. God please. I have never cried like this pls ALLAH".

In another post, Toyin Abraham wrote:

"They were happy. Pls leave if it’s not working. They will mock you but please just leave. God I’m heartbroken. I’m so down. Don’t care about what people will say cos people will always talk. GOD please for the baby".
