Marouane Fellaini tests positive for coronavirus

Former Manchester United and Everton player, Marouane Fellaini, has tested positive for coronavirus following his return to China,

Fellaini's Chinese Super League club Shandong Luneng made the announcement on Sunday.

The Belgian returned to the country on Friday to join up with his club and tested positive for the coronavirus. the BBC reported.

"Dear friends, I have been tested for coronavirus and my test result is positive.

"Thanks to the fans, medical staff and the club for their care and attention.

I will follow the treatment and hope to return to the game as soon as possible. Please, everyone, stay safe," Fellaini posted on his official Twitter handle.

According to the club, the former Belgium international did not have a fever and was asymptomatic. He has now been placed in quarantine.
