Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator Oluwatobiloba Abraham, professionally known as Tomama (DatWarriGirl), has ignited intense online debate after claiming that the widespread belief that wealthy women rely on prostitution is often a deliberate cover for far more serious criminal enterprises.

In a video shared on her social media platforms, the entertainer argued that society underestimates women's involvement in organized crime, asserting that female operatives actively run high-stakes illegal networks across the country.

"You people don't recognize women when it comes to crime. They are involved in many criminal activities that will shock you," Tomama stated. "Women are involved in fraud, money laundering, drugs, kidnapping, and many other things."

Addressing the source of funding behind many high-end commercial establishments in Lagos, Tomama specifically pointed to luxury boutiques in upmarket areas like Lekki, claiming many serve purely as fronts for illicit money flows rather than legitimate retail businesses.

"Most of these big shops you see in Lekki, nobody is buying anything from them. They are used as fronts for money laundering. There are women who are drug barons in this country," she alleged.

The comedian explained that many wealthy women willingly accept public accusations of prostitution or "hook-up culture" because it diverts scrutiny away from severe criminal activities carrying harsher legal penalties.

"So when you accuse women of being into prostitution as the source of their wealth, they accept it," she said, adding: "If you knew the kind of crimes they are into, you won't be able to sleep."
