Man with 8 names breaks record for longest graduation name at UK university; many react

A Nigerian man with eight names recently received his degree from the University of Kent in the UK.

His name is Boluwatife Oluwasemilore Oluwadamilola Oyekunle Ayanfeoluwa Emmanuel Michael Oladele.

Boluwatife was identified as the graduate with the longest name in a video that the University of Kent shared on TikTok.

The closing ceremony read out each of Boluwatife's eight names, all of which are listed on the graduation certificates.

The guy leading the ceremony read each name aloud until he reached the eighth name, Oladele.

This indicates that all eight names are listed on his certificate and likely on all of his paperwork because they were highlighted during his graduation.

The man burst into tears when his name was called and ran to the podium to pick up his certificate.

The pronunciation of the Yoruba names by the Oyinbo guy captured the attention of many Nigerians who watched the video on TikTok.
