A social media user has expressed shock at the news of the death of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

Ogogo died on Sunday after battling with Stage 4 Cancer. News of his death was shared by his daughter, who had earlier called for help after doctors withdrew treatment for the actor due to the stage the illness had reached.

Shortly after his death, one X user, @prinxe_B, shared a photo he took with Ogogo at this year's Ojude Oba festival, wondering how fast Cancer leads to a person's death.

He wrote, "I need someone to tutor me on cancer because I genuinely don’t understand this.

"Ogogo was at Ojude Oba on June 1, less than three months ago. He looked healthy, energetic and full of life. Today, he is gone after battling stage 4 cancer.

"Can cancer really progress this rapidly, or can someone look completely healthy while already having advanced cancer? How does something this devastating happen in such a short time?"
