A Nigerian man has commended an officer of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) for saving him from being extorted.

The man with the Twitter handle @chimdiadi hailed the officer he identified as Mr. Ismaila for his efforts in going against the wishes of his colleagues who were bent on taking money from him.

He tweeted: "An excellent service is commendable. I was almost extorted by LASTMAN officers but Mr. Ismila against the wishes of his team let me go bcos I did no wrong."
