Lagos state govt to investigate Hospital where Rico Swavey died

Report indicates that the Lagos state government will investigate the unprofessional conduct of the hospital where reality TV star, Patrick Fakoya, aka Rico Swavey died.

Few days ago, it was announced that Rico Swavey, was involved in a ghastly motor accident. He was rushed to the hospital but later passed away.

However, a 30-second video showing some nurses at a hospital in Lagos State being unprofessional with their duties while Rico was in a critical condition has sparked outrage on social media.

In the short video, Rico Swavey was seen on a chair. While one of the nurses called for help to put him on a stretcher, the others were laid back even as one of them chuckled as he was filming.

A nurse was heard warning her colleagues to desist from filming the reality star.

“You people should stop making the video; somebody is dying, you people are making video,” the nurse said.

Since the video hit the internet, many Nigerians have taken to social media to condemn the act.

Speaking on the issue, the Lagos state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said the state government had commenced an investigation.

"That hospital is not a government hospital. We have started an investigation into the unprofessional conducts of those who appeared in that video.” he said.
