Self-proclaimed relationship therapist, Blessing Okoro popularly known as Blessing CEO has lamented the terrible water challenges residents of Lekki experience daily.
In a video shared on social media, Blessing CEO showed herself pouring sachets of water into a bucket to take her bath.
Displeased by the poor water condition in Lekki, the controversial social media celebrity warned many residents on the mainland and its environs to avoid relocating to Lekki which is situated on the Lagos Island.
According to her, she was not warned of the poor water supply in Lekki when she moved to Lagos from her village.
She called on President Bola Tinubu’s government to come to their aid and resolve the water crisis in that community.
“Welcome to Lekki, one of the overhyped slums of Lagos. We pay millions of naira just because it is hyped. They say that is where your business is going to flourish, networking, but we don’t have water to bathe. Every day, I go from hospital to hospital, sickness to sickness, even the drinkable water is not good. I have suffered from typhoid to the extent I’m tired of collecting injections. They did not inform me when I was coming to Lagos. They told me if I come to Lagos, I will become famous. My mother warned me but because I was stubborn, I decided to go and see for myself.
“Imagine bathing with almost two bags of water. Tinubu, I beg you. This is not a matter of the poor and the rich’ It’s a matter of all of us. I need to open a sachet water company. In fact, the government should ban Lekki. It is becoming extortion.
If you are on the mainland, remain there. Surulere, Ikeja, remain there because we are relocating there. I am tired and frustrated. Don’t let them take this overhyped slum and tell you Lagos is a greener pasture. Lagos is not a greener pasture; Lagos is for noisy people.
There is no money here, especially if you are not a Yoruba person. You will build a house, and they will demolish it. If you lease an office, they will use the bill to finish you.”
