Lagos State govt files charge against MC Oluomo's ex-girlfriend, Ehizogie Ogbebor

The Lagos state government has filed a 12-count charge against interior designer, Ehizogie Ogbebor, over claims of failing to pay tax returns.

Prosecution counsel, A. I. Alli said the defendant failed to pay personal income tax to the state internal revenue service from 2014 to present.

Explaining to the state high court, Alli noted that the socialite is a taxable personality but has evaded tax.

According to the prosecutor, the offences contravened Sections 41 and 94 (1) of the Personal Income Tax Act, Cap. P8, Laws of the Federation, 2004 and Sections 56(a) (b) of the Lagos State Revenue Administration Law, No.8, 2006.

Alli who filled the 12-count charge on Monday, June 5, told the court that he had a motion for substituted service and he has not been able to serve the defendant the charge.

He further asked for an order to effect substituted service on the defendant.

“We seek the leave of this court for substituted service to paste the notice on the last known address of the defendant, at plot 59, Fola Osibo St, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos,” he said.

Before the case was adjourned until October 26, Justice Yetunde Adesanya granted the order for substituted service.
