Lady shares alleged account balance of VeryDarkMan's NGO

A Nigerian lady has reignited controversy surrounding the NGO owned by popular social activist VeryDarkMan after sharing what she claims to be the organization’s real-time account balance.

VeryDarkMan launched the Martins Vincent Otse Initiative in October 2024 to support community development and improve public schools nationwide.

A move that received wide praise and a significant financial boost, including a ₦100 million donation from renowned music producer Don Jazzy.

However, the NGO has recently been accused of mismanaging donated funds, with critics alleging that VDM diverted money to purchase a Mercedes-Benz.

In a fresh twist, Facebook user Anita Chinwe Ihebinike posted screenshots showing that she transferred ₦100 to the NGO’s account to verify claims circulating online. The screenshots included:

Anita’s move was in response to claims by another Facebook user, Alexander Thandi Ubani, who alleged that the balance displayed on the NGO’s website was not updated in real time and questioned VDM’s transparency.

She stated that her findings prove the displayed account balance is authentic, adding that she also recorded the previous balance and would provide it for further verification.

Her post has since gone viral, drawing mixed reactions — while some praised the gesture as a step toward accountability, others insist the NGO still has more explaining to do.

Screenshots shared below have continued to fuel debate on social media.
