With yet another No. 1 hit single in Nigeria, afrobeats musician Kizz Daniel is
overjoyed and grateful to his fans.

This comes as he peaked at No. 1 on Apple Music Top 100 in Nigeria.

The chart-topping song "Cough" was released on Tuesday, October 11.

"No matter the matter, I don’t take wins like this for granted ???????? THANK YOU NAIJA #COUGH????" he posted on Twitter.

The single is Kizz Daniel's second official release of the year and was produced by Empire mate, Blaise Beatz.

The song, which narrates a lovely tale of a recently discovered love interest, has made an impression on music lovers, especially because of the lovely choreography known as the #COUGH dance challenge.

The dance challenge has featured dancer Poco Lee, comedians Brodda Shaggi, and Sabinus. It was the celebratory dance move for the Flamingos during their 4-0 victory over New Zealand last Friday.

Kizz Daniel while releasing the song, said: "For this song, I wanted to highlight the feeling of new love. The song itself is energetic, celebratory and really captures what it’s like to impress someone new."

Empire, a corporation that provides label services and music distribution, debuted the brand-new song "Cough" as the lead single from their upcoming compilation album "Where We Come From."

Fireboy DML, Olamide, Bnxn fka Buju, Navy Kenzo, Wande Coal, Tolani, Black Sherif, Leil, Kizz Daniel, L.A.X, and many top performers will also be featured on the upcoming album.

After Kizz Daniel's global hit, "Buga ft. Tekno," Cough (Odo) is expected to be another big song.

The song "Buga" is now being streamed the most on Nigeria's two main music streaming services, Audiomack and Boomplay.

In the first half of 2022, Buga was the music that people looked for the most on Google.

Following his successful ClassicWorldTour of well-known UK towns, Kizz Daniel will travel to 10 significant US cities as part of his sold-out Afroclassic tour in July 2022.

In May 2022, he performed before sold-out crowds in London, Manchester, Glasgow, and Birmingham.

For his work on "Buga," Kizz Daniel received 5 nominations in the recently released AFRIMA 2022 nominees list, including Male Artist of the Year West Africa, Song of the Year, and Artist of the Year.
