Kenyan chef Maliha reportedly breaks down during longest cooking marathon attempt

Kenyan chef Maliha Mohammed who attempted breaking the record for the longest cooking marathon didn't see her dream come to fruition after she encountered a health problem while at it.

With the intention of smashing the existing record of 119 hours, 57 minutes, and 16 seconds, Maliha started the challenge on November 15 and has been diligently keeping her supporters informed of her progress.

Her quest to surpass Alan Fisher's (Ireland) Guinness World Record took an unanticipated turn when, after logging 111 hours, she encountered a medical problem.

In a video posted to her Instagram stories, Maliha was shown unconscious and receiving medical attention while being moved about on a stretcher.

She insisted that the emergency would not mark the end of the culinary marathon, despite the setback.

She wrote: “I am a conqueror and a marathon runner. Nothing is bringing us down; to the finish line, we go."
