Kent Okwesa, the alleged gay lover of Osekola Obi, the son of former presidential candidate Peter Obi, has lamented that the birthday photos he shared on Tuesday were met with hostility.

Okwesa shared the photos on X, which showed him and Osekola, suggesting that they are in a gay relationship. This astonished Nigerians, who rushed to his comment section to express disappointment in Obi's son.

According to some, Obi cannot control his son, yet he wants to solve Nigeria's complex problems within five years. Others attacked Okwesa, as they felt his action of posting the photos brought ridicule to their favourite politician.

Reacting, Okwesa shared, "A sweet moment turned sour... oh well, more birthday week pics coming soon. For those who have recently followed me, don't be discouraged by the projected shame and hate under the comments of my photos. Allow yourselves to express freely and physically present how you."

An X user, @SouthOba_, attacked him, saying, "You're stup!d. Can't you read the room and know the political tension in Nigeria before posting ur dirty g@y sh1t and ur worthless birthday?"

Meanwhile, Okwesa has restricted his social media accounts following the barrage of hostile comments.
