'Jump off a cliff if you don't like it' - Toyin Lawani to critics as she rocks Christmas outfit made of pepper, mops

Nigerian celebrity stylist and designer Toyin Lawani has responded to those who have criticized and belittled her for her Christmas ensemble.

The designer made headlines once more when she chose to dress creatively and unconventionally for Christmas photo sessions instead of wearing her typical pajamas. Segun Wealth's wife fashioned a garment and a cloak out of mop and pepper.

Toyin revealed that she has gone through a lot this year, which is why she gave her annual Christmas photo session a lot of care. She also shared the idea behind her dress.

She disclosed that the 1000 pepper and 70 mops that comprised her ensemble had gotten into her cut. Although she did her best, she acknowledged that the cape was heavier than she had anticipated and that she could not wear it for very long on her back.

Undoubtedly, her ensemble created a sensation on the internet, with some commending her inventiveness and others criticizing her.

As she is the King of Fashion, Toyin responded to the complaints by telling her detractors to leap over a cliff.

She made fun of them and mentioned how they asked her if the pepper was real. She acknowledged the reality of the pepper and said, "Fashion is pain."

She wrote: “The name is King of Fashion.
If you don’t like it,
Go and jump off a cliff.
Someone asked if it’s real pepper.
If it’s not then what is this?
Don’t worry I will show you my skin soon.
The pepper was peppering.
I know I make it look easy,
But it’s hell,
Fashion is pain”.
