Juliana Olayode outlines strong stance on gay Christians

Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode has made a controversial stance on the incompatibility between the Christian faith and homosexuality.

The actress, while speaking via her Instagram page, claimed that Christians cannot identify as gay or queer. Olayode explained that she believes certain teachings contradict the Word of God, calling on the Church to return to what she described as biblical truth.

“We cannot afford to remain silent while teachings that contradict the Word of God continue to spread, reaching not just adults but teenagers and children too. It is time for the Church to wake up, return to the Scriptures, teach the truth, live by the Word, and stop compromising. We must speak the truth in love and stand firmly on God’s Word. Our convictions must be shaped by Scripture, not culture,” she wrote.

Olayode also claimed that being gay and a Christian is a contradiction. She added that such reality cannot coexist without conflict, stressing that she does not hate gay people but also does not agree or support their lifestyle.

“This is not about hate or about judging people. I do not hate people who identify as gay, homosexual, queer, etc. I do not believe they deserve to die, and I do not wish evil upon them because of the sexuality they’ve chosen. Every human being deserves to be treated with love. Love is a commandment for all, but loving someone does not mean I must agree with their beliefs or lifestyle, especially when they are against the truth of Scripture. I love you enough to tell you the truth. As Christians, we believe God is our Creator, and we live by His words. Therefore, our desires do not become the final authority. God’s Word is our authority,” she concluded.
