20 Nigerians have made it to the long list of 100 most influential women in Africa for the year 2020.

The Nigerians included Sinach, Yemi Alade, Linda Ikeji, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, among others.

The list boasted of women in various careers and are seen as role models to the younger generation.

Whether in or out of the country, Nigerian women are one of those breaking boundaries and imprinting their names in the hearts of others.

Hence, it comes as no surprise that 20 of them have been listed among this year's 100 most influential women in Africa.

The list, which recorded 75 new entrants, includes gospel singer Osinachi Kalu Joseph popularly called Sinach, and Johnny crooner Yemi Alade, among others.

According to Avance Media, a PR firm in Africa, the list represents women from 34 countries who are leaders in various fields of life and are seen as role models for the younger generation.

Amazingly, Nigeria recorded the highest number of women on the list, followed by South Africa and Ghana.

The list is said to be focused on women who are leading great initiatives across their countries and have achieved great things.

The women who are dubbed as trailblazers were chosen for their excellence in leadership, their commitment, and breaking every status quo, helping the younger ones to see that impossible is nothing.

Other Nigerian women on the list include popular blogger Linda Ikeji, Okonjo Iweala, Ifeyinwa Ugochukwu of Tony Elumelu Foundation, Uche Pedro of Bella Naija, diplomat, and politician Amina J Mohammed.

Sinach, who joined the list for the first time, shared the news on her official Instagram page and her fans and followers congratulated her on the new feat.
