The trend quickly caught fire on X, with striker Victor Osimhen leading the pack.

Fans nicknamed Osimhen “Jagun Jagun,” a Yoruba phrase meaning “warrior,” inspired by Femi Adebayo’s popular movie of the same title.

Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali was humorously dubbed “Bahubali," after the strong and heroic character from a famous Bollywood movie.

Meanwhile, defender Calvin Bassey also got a playful twist, as fans jokingly called him “Nathaniel Bassey” and “Hilda Baci,” merging the names of a gospel singer and a celebrity chef.
