Iyanya reveals why reality TV show winners don’t thrive in the music industry

Nigerian singer Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk who is widely known as Iyanya has discussed why most reality TV show winners don't succeed after winning a music competition.

The singer asserted that the majority of reality TV program participants do not seek fame.

Iyanya, who won Season 1 of Project Fame West Africa, made this statement during a recent interview with Hip TV.

The singer stated that most victors just decided to give the competition a shot and were successful.

However, he added that those who succeed are those who persistently prayed for the opportunity and eventually received it.

He said: “Obviously, most people who win these reality shows don’t have any plans of being famous or anything. It just happened to them. Yeah, he has a nice voice, tried it and he won.

“So, I believe that the people who go further are the people who prayed for that platform. And they finally got it and they are like, ‘I’m not going back from here.’ That is how I look at it.”
