A video from Shiloh 2025 has gone viral on social media after Bishop David Oyedepo handed the pulpit to his eldest son, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr, allowing him to preach at the global church event.
The annual Shiloh programme of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), held at Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, featured a moment that captivated both attendees and online viewers.
In the widely shared clip, Bishop Oyedepo is seen personally inviting his son to deliver a message to the thousands of worshippers present.
Speaking briefly but warmly, he said:
“It is my joy this morning to bring up for the next word my first son. I welcome Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr as he brings the word. Amen.”
The announcement sparked online discussion, with many interpreting the gesture as highly significant. The video, shared on TikTok by @spirit.media0, quickly gained popularity, with users noting the symbolic importance of the church founder personally handing the pulpit to his son during such a major programme.
Shiloh 2025 marks the second edition of the event since the retirement of Bishop David Abioye in 2024, who stepped down after serving as vice president of the church for 44 years.
The video also sparked questions among some viewers regarding Abioye’s absence and what it might imply for the church’s leadership moving forward.
In addition, Bishop Oyedepo warmly welcomed his wife, Faith Oyedepo, to minister during the programme, a moment that drew admiration from attendees.
