It is an error, you are not supposed to love your husband - Clergywoman

A Nigerian clergywoman, identified as Dr Ijeoma has ssaid that it is an error for women to say they love their husbands.

Her comment has since sparked a debate on social media as many seem to have an opinion on her take.

While preaching to her congregation at church, Dr Ijeoma said women are not supposed to love their husbands but be submissive to him.

"When a woman is saying I love my husband, it is an error. God did not tell you to love your husband. It is not your duty to love him. It is his duty to love you. If the man says I can't marry her, I don't love her. Then it is a problem. You don't have a right to love him. So you don't need to love him. What you should marry is a man you can submit to,'' she said.

Cicerone: This error takes it's root from a misinterpretation of Ephesians 5 v 23-33 where Paul said husbands should love their wives.
This erroneous teaching ignores Titus 2:3-5 where older women are commanded to teach the younger women to LOVE their husbands.

BEAST OF NO NATION: She’s absolutely right. Women marry because of ‘qualities’ which most times has to do with financial superiority while men marries because of ‘dedication’ which most time has to do with nurturing.

Bode Feyitimi: She is busy twisting what the word of God said in Titus 2:4 that "young women . . . be sober, . . . love their husbands, . . . love their children . . ." The idea of a home built entirely on a one-sided love from the man is at variance with Bible teachings.
