Isaac Fayose weighs in on Davido-Sophia Momodu custody drama

The custody dispute between Afrobeats star Davido and Sophia Momodu over their daughter, Imade, has drawn fresh attention after businessman Isaac Fayose shared his strong opinions on the matter.

In a video posted on Instagram, Fayose, younger brother to former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, openly criticised Sophia, describing her as toxic and accusing her of escalating the legal battle unnecessarily.

He particularly condemned the alleged mention of Davido’s late son during court proceedings, calling it insensitive and unfair.

Fayose argued that Davido has consistently provided for Imade and should not be dragged into a prolonged legal fight.

He went as far as saying the singer was fortunate not to have married Sophia, suggesting the relationship could have negatively affected his life and career.

Offering unsolicited advice, Fayose urged the Adeleke family to step back from the dispute for now.

According to him, Imade would eventually make her own decisions when she grows older.

He also took subtle jabs at Sophia’s personal life, implying her attitude may have affected her relationships.

The comments surfaced shortly after reports of a tense courtroom moment at Yaba, where a lawyer alleged that Davido became emotional during cross-examination.

However, the singer later clarified that he was not seeking full custody of his daughter but joint custody instead.

Davido also revealed that he has decided to drop the case, stating that regardless of the outcome, his daughter will one day understand that he fought for her.
