Award-winning actress Ini Edo has taken to social media to announce the passing of her father.

On Monday, February 24, 2025, Ini Edo shared an emotional post with a photo of her father, expressing sadness and loss. She described him as her biggest cheerleader.

The film star stated that this loss is the hardest thing she has to bear but is thankful because heaven has gained an angel.

She wrote, "This post has been the hardest to make… I have lost my greatest cheerleader… My Beloved Father, My first love," she wrote. "The Heavens have gained an Angel. You will forever remain in my heart. Rest on King."

Following her post, fans and colleagues took to her comments section to express their condolences and support.

Her loss comes just weeks after comedian Bovi mourned the passing of his father, Edward Sagini Ugboma, who he revealed died peacefully on February 13, 2025.
