Imo Governorship: Zack Orji drums support for Hope Uzodinma ahead of polls

Veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji has announced that he will back Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo state, for a second term.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set November 11 for the Imo governorship election.

The actor can be seen pushing voters in Imo state to support Uzodimma and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a viral that has gone viral.

In his partially Igbo speech, Zack stated that Uzodimma ought to be elected governor on November 11th, citing his exceptional drive and enthusiasm for Imo state's advancement and the welfare of all Imo citizens.

He added: “Vote Senator Hope Uzodimma as the next governor of Imo state, let the good works continue, let the progress continue. Thank you, God bless Imo state."

Recall that the veteran faced harsh criticism the previous year for endorsing Bola Tinubu, the APC's presidential candidate at the time who was proclaimed the victor of the 2023 contest.

Top Nollywood actors Orji and others visited Tinubu in September 2022. The former Lagos State governor stated during the visit that Nigeria and the highly prolific talents of actors and filmmakers must reap abundant rewards.
