'Idan has landed' - Tinubu says as he joins Zuckerberg’s new app, Threads

The President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has joined Threads, a new social media site developed by Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook and Instagram.

"Twitter Killer" as many techies refer to it, is a companion to Instagram, the popular photo-sharing platform that Zuckerberg's business, Meta, bought more than ten years ago.

Within 48 hours of the app's introduction, the president of Nigeria signed up, joining millions of other users.

Making his first post on the website, Tinubu humorously referred to himself as a "Tailor," a term derived from the name of the website, "Threads."

He wrote: “My fellow Tailors, Idan has landed.”
