IWD: 'Nobody chose you as president' - Netizens attack President-elect Tinubu as he celebrates women

Nigerian president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has come under heavy criticisms as he took to his Twitter page to celebrate women as the world marked the International Women's Day.

The president-elect in honor of IWD reiterated that he will keep his word about improving the quality of life in Nigeria.

Tinubu stated that he would see to it that gender equity was achieved in the nation.

He wrote: "As we celebrate our women today, I hold sacred my promise to provide the enabling environment for these goals to become manifest and usher another dinension to the strength of Nigeria - our women.

The president-elect's message was not well received by many social media users, who used the comment section to remind him that they did not vote for him and that he should therefore return the Certificate of Return to the rightful owner.
