Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has opened up about his humble beginnings, revealing that he once worked at a packaging factory in Ikorodu owned by billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote before rising to fame.
Speaking during an interview on Echo Room, the artiste shared that he earned ₦20,000 monthly at the time and had no other source of income.
“I was collecting ₦20,000 per month, and that was all I had. No side hustle, nothing else,” he said.
Bella described that phase of his life as a difficult one, admitting that things were far from easy.
“It wasn’t easy, but it was an experience for me, and I feel like those are the things I remember now,” he added.
Despite the challenges, the singer said the experience played an important role in shaping his journey and perspective on life.
He noted that looking back, he has no regrets about that period, as it now serves as a powerful reminder of how far he has come in his music career.
