Popular television host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has raised questions on how much banks make from a failed or unreversed transactions.

Taking to his Twitter page, the Big Brother Naija host wrote: “I wonder how much banks make from failed transactions that never get reversed.”

According to report, last year, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) indicated that commercial banks refunded N89.2 billion to customers over various financial-related complaints from 2012 to June 2021.

However, Taiwo Akitobi, a Lagos-based activist, narrated how a bank failed to refund his N58,000 after a failed air ticket purchase for three years.

Akitobi noted that he had attempted to purchase an air ticket in August 2019 through the bank app but the transaction was unsuccessful.

Reacting to his post, some Nigerians had this to say.
