Lydia Balogun, digital influencer and ex-girlfriend of actor Timini has ignited discussion after she shared her thoughts on getting a N10,000 cash present from a man.

The influeencer along with Maliya Michael and Caramel Plugg, lambasted males who make huge promises of treating women with money but end up giving as little as N10k or N5k during a recent edition of the well-known podcast "Rants, Bants, and Confessions."

Lydia recounted her own encounter with a man who offered her N10,000 and urged men to quit attempting to appear richer than they are by sending gifts to women.

Maliya asserted that any man who sent her such a meager sum would lose her favor.

Lydia retorted that she is not in need and advised giving the money to a beggar or someone on the street instead when co-host Caramel Plugg commented that N10,000 could mean a lot to some people.

She responded: “Give it to somebody on the street, am I on the street? Give it to a beggar.”

The discussion generated numerous mixed reactions from social media users in thee comment section.
