Veteran Nollywood actor Antar Laniyan has shared how he handles political debates among friends, revealing that he prefers to walk away rather than engage in arguments targeting President Bola Tinubu.

The seasoned actor made this known during a recent interview while discussing personal choices, political opinions, and tolerance among peers in the country.

According to the movie star, citizens are entitled to their personal beliefs and choices, making heated political arguments unnecessary and avoidable.

"If you are my friend and you pick up your phone and you are saying 'Tinubu is this, Tinubu is that' I will walk away. Because he has not been what you are saying to me. I don't have to support you. That's your own belief.

"If he has done it for me, I will not even discuss it with you. I'll still walk away. That's it," Antar Laniyan stated.

The actor emphasized that friendships should not be ruined by differing political perspectives, noting that individuals view governance and leadership through different personal experiences.
