Popular gospel artiste Tim Godfrey has addressed the criticism surrounding his recent collaboration with Afrobeats singer Oxlade on the track "Infinity."
The award-winning gospel act came under heavy fire from some Christian fans who accused him of being “worldly” and questioned his decision to work with a mainstream artiste known for controversial pasts.
Critics argued that a gospel singer of Tim’s influence should have partnered with someone “more spiritually upright.”
In an emotional open letter titled “To the Labeled,” Tim Godfrey broke his silence, reflecting on how religious judgment has often alienated genuine people from faith.
“I know what it feels like to be called worldly, rebellious, and unspiritual. But Jesus never rejected anyone. He sat with the broken, touched the untouchable, and called the forgotten family,” he wrote.
The "Nara" crooner emphasized that true Christianity transcends stereotypes, adding, “You may have tattoos or dreads that make them stare, but neither did Jesus fit the religious image.”
His response has since reignited discussions about the place of inclusivity and modern expression in gospel music.

abrahamjonah360___"The reason why we have the children of the World, and the Children of God is because there is a clear distinction of how the two live their lives respectively. There are precepts and standards that govern our kingdom as Children of God. We must not strive to look like them and call it grace, but, instead, they should strive to look like us and confess that mercy has found them."
