Chaltu Jateny, the woman, Grammy winner, Ebunoluwa Damini Ogulu, well known as Burna Boy, ordered out of his US concert, has broken her silence and revealed the emotional weight she was carrying on the night she was chased out.

The incident, which went viral after Burna Boy interrupted his performance upon noticing her asleep, has sparked widespread debate online about empathy, celebrity behaviour, and public humiliation.

During the show, the global superstar stopped the music and demanded that the seemingly sleeping lady and her partner be taken out. He even threatened to halt the concert if they remained seated, a move that shocked many attendees.

But Jateny has now shared the painful truth behind her exhaustion.

In a deeply emotional post, she explained that she had recently lost her daughter, a tragedy that left her mentally, emotionally, and physically drained.

According to her, attending the concert was an attempt to find a moment of happiness again after enduring unimaginable grief.

She stated that it took tremendous courage just to leave her house, hoping the event would help lift her spirit. Instead, she said she left feeling humiliated.

Jateny criticised Burna Boy for his reaction, saying he should have shown compassion rather than embarrassment, especially since she paid for her ticket with her own money. She argued that the artiste’s public dismissal made an already painful period even worse for both her and her boyfriend.

Addressing people attacking her online, she urged the public to speak with kindness, noting that no one knows the battles others are fighting.

Her revelation has now shifted the conversation from concert etiquette to mental health, compassion, and the need for public figures to be more sensitive to their fans’ struggles.
