Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has given fans another glimpse into her experiences with men, opening up about why she's grown tired of certain aspects of dating.
The Grammy-winning singer made the revelation during a TikTok livestream on Monday, speaking about her decision to "leave the streets."
According to Tems, she has become frustrated with men who waste her time and has resolved not to entertain such experiences going forward.
"I don't like it when guys waste my time. But for me, never again. I don't have that," she said.
Tems did not explain what prompted the shift or confirm whether she's currently in a relationship, but her comments build on remarks she made previously about dating.
In an earlier interview with YouTuber Korty EO, the singer had said that many men who approached her seemed to have ulterior motives, with some more interested in her physically than in getting to know her on a deeper level.
She made clear at the time that she preferred genuine connection over physical attraction alone.
“I don’t like it when guys waste my time. But for me, never again. I don’t have that problem anymore. I’ve left the streets; I wouldn’t even say I was ever on the streets.” — Tems https://t.co/S05NgZSz7c
