Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the long-standing host of Your View and the Managing Director of TVC Entertainment, announced her departure after 12 years with the company.
She shared on her Instagram account that her decision to leave is driven by a desire to chase new ambitions, ideals, and passions she has long held.
In her announcement on Friday, she revealed that her last day on the show will be August 29, as she steps away from her roles both as the show's host and as MD.
She said, “I have put in my resignation as host of Your View on TVC. I’ve been host for the past 12 years and have also put in my resignation as MD, TVC Entertainment. You have been asking me, so why? Why did it happen? Nothing happened. It’s just the phase in my life to do something else, to move on to bigger dreams, bigger ideals, and things I always had passion for.”
Afolabi-Brown shared that she would pass the baton to the other anchors and producers who have been diligently keeping the show going. She also expressed her heartfelt hope to see Your View “better and bigger every single time," even after her departure, reflecting her genuine passion and care for the show's future.
She added, “August 29th will be my last day as host of Your View. I’ll be drawing the curtains permanently on the show on my end and handing over to the amazing ladies of Your View, who have been doing such phenomenal work holding up the show. We also have amazing producers who have put together the resources to ensure that Your View never dies.”
She expressed her gratitude to the management of TVC Communications, her colleagues, and the audience, saying that the support from her CEO and senior management had been “enormous” and that they were all cheering her on for the next stage.
“It’s scary but exciting, but honestly, the truth is that I’m grateful to TVC Communications for the opportunity for 12 years on this amazing platform.
“They helped me to build my brand, build who I am, and I’m thankful to my fans for watching the show. I only pray that you continue to watch and sustain the growth of the show so that when we are all old, we are grateful for the opportunity that you gave to us,” she added.
