'I never thought a Nigerian artiste could make top 5 in America' - Davido hails Rema

Top Nigerian artiste, Davido has commended fellow musician, Rema, for achieving massive success in the United States of America.

Davido, in a recent interview on UAE’s #1 music station 'The Kris Fade Show', expressed disbelief at how long Rema’s song “Calm Down” remained at the top of the U.S. charts.

According to Davido, it is beyond his wildest dreams, and he is excited to see artists like Rema succeeding globally.

He said: “Years ago, I never thought a Nigerian artiste would have a Top 5 record in America. Rema has had Top 5 records in America for the past eight months, non-shaken."

Rema’s song “Calm Down” and its remix with Selena Gomez recently made history by being the first Nigerian single to spend an entire year on U.S. Billboard.
