‘I’m the only one’ – KC Luxury’s lavish posts resurface following ₦39bn cocaine bust

Throwback videos showcasing the ultra-wealthy lifestyle of self-styled social media influencer and luxury goods dealer Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as "KC Luxury," have resurfaced online following his high-profile arrest by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

In the viral clips, the socialite was seen sipping champagne aboard private jets and displaying high-end timepieces.

He can be heard boasting about his ultra-rare automobile collection.

"I don't think anyone else aside me has a Mercedes Benz Virgil Abloh edition with Serial Number 001 of 150. And I don't think anyone has two Mercedes Benz S680 Virgil Abloh Maybachs... I am the only one," KC Luxury boasted in one of the resurfaced videos.

KC Luxury’s arrest was officially announced by NDLEA Chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd.) during a press briefing in Abuja.

According to the report, operatives intercepted him on August 13, 2026, at the boarding gate of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos as he allegedly attempted to board a business-class flight to Paris.

The agency identified him as the Nigerian coordinator for a transnational drug network spanning South America, Nigeria, Europe, and Asia. The arrest followed the seizure of a 184.5-kilogram consignment of cocaine—valued at ₦39 billion ($27.7 million)—which was intercepted at a courier facility in Lagos en route to the United Kingdom.

According to the NDLEA, Michael presented himself publicly as an influencer, jeweler, and dealer in high-end goods, using the image to mask an illicit enterprise.

A raid on his residence in Banana Island, Ikoyi, led to the recovery of multiple exotic vehicles. At the time of his arrest at the airport, law enforcement officers recovered €7,750, £2,800, and ₦100,000 in cash alongside high-value designer jewelry.

The operation, which also involved insider arrests at a courier logistics firm, marks the largest cocaine seizure made through a courier channel in the NDLEA’s history.
