Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Afro-pop star Mohbad, has revealed the reason for his ongoing outbursts regarding his son's death.

In an interview with Arise TV on Friday, June 21, Joseph Aloba discussed his relationship with his son's widow, Omowunmi, the conversations he had with his son before his passing, his decision to pursue a music career, and his determination to have a DNA test conducted on his grandson, Liam Light.

During the interview, one of the hosts asked Joseph Aloba if he was seeking justice for personal gain or to seek vengeance for his son's death.

The interviewer inquired, "Are you fighting for the truth or property?"

In response, Joseph Aloba clarified that his fight was for the truth, not for material possessions. He expressed his desire to seek justice for his son's death and ensure that his spirit can rest peacefully.

He stated, "I'm fighting for the truth, not for property. I am concerned that my son's spirit is not at peace, which is why I am fighting for justice."

After Mohbad's death on September 12, 2023, many people believed that the singer's family, especially his father, was speaking out because of his son's property and assets.

Some claimed that he requested a DNA test on Liam Light to prove that the boy was not Mohbad's son, in an attempt to claim everything from the late singer's widow, Omowunmi.
