Grammy award winner, Wizkid has said he will continue to remain a mainland boy forever.
In an interview on BBC 1Xtra's Nadia Jae on her Breakfast Show, a session tagged 'This or That', which allows one to choice their preferred choice was played.
In this game, Wizkid was asked to make a choice between Lagos Mainland and Lagos Island, and the singer selected the mainland.
According to him, he represents Surulere and Ojuelegba a suburb of Lagos state based on the mainland.
He said: “Mainland boy till I RIP! Surelere, Ojuelegba!!”
Wizkid made this known whiles speaking on his recently released album, “More Love, Less Ego”.
Lagos state has been known to have two major areas; Lagos Island and Lagos Mainland with the Third Mainland bridge connecting both parts.
Most of the residents attributes the Mainland to be a less sophisticated area, compared to the Island which is seen as a form of status change as it is meant for movers and shakers of the society.
