Yeni Kuti, one of the children of the late Afrobeat founder, Fela Kuti, has expressed displeasure that her father was disrespected by singer Wizkid.

MyNigeria reported that Wizkid proclaimed himself to be bigger than Fela in response to trolling from one of Fela's children, Seun Kuti.

Speaking during a TVC shw, Yoru View, Yeni Kuti said she and Wizkid are friends, adding that she knew him right from when he was a backup singer performing at the New Afrika Shrine.

"I love Wizkid a lot, he's my paddy. I remember when he started at Shrine, he was a backup singer during Felabration. So, there is no way I can ever not like Wizkid," she said.

Yeni Kuti lamented that things were unfolding in the wrong manner when the world was getting set to celebrate her father at the Grammy Awards next month.

"Let's mend fences. We are just about to go and celebrate our icon at the Grammies and you are all doing this..." she said.
