'I have the numbers' - Funke Akindele's pre-election rant resurfaces after poor election showing

A video of Funke Akindele, the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party boasting about her followership on social media prior to the election has re-emerged.

Funke is an actress was the running mate for Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) in the just-ended elections.

"I have the numbers, I have fans and followers. I have almost 20 million fans on social media," she said in the short video.

The PDP performed poorly in the elections polling 62,449 votes compared to Sanwo-Olu's 762,134 and 312,329 scored by Labour Party's Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

INEC Returning officer, Adenike Oladiji, who announced the result said Mr Sanwo-Olu scored 25 percent of the total number of votes and also the highest number of votes in the race.

Recall that Funke in the early hours of Monday, March 20 deleted all posts relating to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after the elections.
