'I have learnt a lesson' - Portable speaks after release from prison

Controversial street singer Habeeb Okikiola commonly known as Portable has spoken after his release from prison.

After being granted bail, the contentious singer was taken into custody at the Ilaro Prison in Ogun State on Monday, April 3.

Portable had been taken before the court by the state police command on five counts of theft and assault.

He was granted bail by a magistrate's court in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, but was kept in custody until the bail requirements were fully met.

Magistrate A.S. Soneye granted him bail with a bond of N300,000 and two sureties who had to live within the court's territorial jurisdiction after stating that the offenses were bailable.

After being held in custody for hours, Portable was freed after fulfilling the terms of his bail.

Portable in a video following his release from prison stated that he has learnt his lesson.

In a video that has been going viral online, the musician was riding in a car with his loved ones when he said: "Akoi grace. I have learnt a lesson. I have learnt a real lesson.”
