The father of BBNaija star Angel Smith, Baron Meyagy, has publicly declared his support for his daughter following reports of her alleged arrest in the United States and the ongoing collapse of her marriage to Tumininu.
His reaction came shortly after a viral video surfaced online, reportedly showing Angel being taken into custody, further fueling conversations about her personal life and troubled relationship.
Taking to Instagram, Baron Meyagy shared an emotional message, assuring his daughter of his unwavering backing despite the controversy.
“Family stands by each other as a unit, irrespective of the circumstance. In the end, she’s FATHER’S DAUGHTER. I gotcha U Mummy,” he wrote.
His statement comes at a tense time, as the relationship between Angel and Tumininu continues to unravel publicly. Earlier, Tumininu reportedly called for their marriage to be annulled, claiming it was rushed due to Angel’s legal situation in the U.S.
She also made several demands, including the return of $40,000, payment of $8,000 for emotional damages, and the signing of annulment papers, along with an agreement to avoid any future financial or immigration-related ties.
The couple, who recently tied the knot in a private ceremony in the United States, have since been caught in a wave of controversy, with leaked chats and videos suggesting growing tension over finances, emotional disconnect, and trust issues.
What began as a quiet and intimate union has now spiraled into a public dispute, drawing widespread attention online. Through it all, Angel’s father’s message stands out as a firm declaration of family loyalty amid the ongoing drama.
