Big Brother Naija star Cross Okonkwo has lamented after alleging that a street beggar robbed him in Ikate, Lekki, Lagos.

Cross disclosed the incident in a video shared on his social media page, claiming that some beggars approached his car while he was in the area, with one of them allegedly reaching in and grabbing an item before fleeing.

"Federal government, I just got robbed. All these beggars, they were in my window talking to me. I did not refuse the guy and he just ripped off something from my car and ran away," he said.

According to him, he attempted to chase after the alleged robber but couldn't catch up, as the man ran too fast.

Cross went on to question the government's handling of street begging in Lagos, raising broader concerns about safety.

"Nigeria is not safe. Federal government, what kind of mistake are you guys doing allowing these guys on the street?" he said.

He added: "This Lagos, I don't understand why you guys are allowing these people to be on the street. This is unfair."
