I found a good wife – Taiwo Cole says despite his family's disapproval of the wedding

Taiwo Cole, the husband of actress and comedian Wofai Ewa has taken to social media to express his excitement about his marriage, despite reports that his family disapproved of his wedding.

On Saturday, May 4, 2024, Taiwo and Wofai tied the knot in a traditional ceremony in her village in Ugep, Cross River State.

In a statement, the Cole family denounced the traditional marriage between their son and Wofai Ewa and distanced themselves from the union.

According to the family, they were unaware of the marriage plans and did not give consent or support.

The family patriarch, Kunle Cole, denied any knowledge or approval of the union, stating, “This serves to notify all acquaintances, family, and friends that the Cole family of Victoria Island, Lagos, are not aware of any marriage ceremony involving our son, Taiwo Olakitan Cole; neither did we grant permission nor support in this regard.

“Person(s) parading themselves as new members of the Cole heritage by virtue of this purported event, are not known nor accepted by the family. All publications and documents being circulated about this are to be disregarded,” the statement read.

However, the new couple took to their various social media pages to celebrate their union. Taiwo on his Instagram page shared photos of his wedding and said he found a good wife.

He captioned the photo, ”I found a good wife and there is no going back.”

Amid the controversy, Wofai also posted her wedding photos on her social media page with the caption,” Let love lead.”
