I flew to meet Wizkid in Ghana for ‘Ebelebe’ – Wande Coal

Singer Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe aka Wande Coal has shared the sacrifice he had made to get his colleague, Wizkid on the song ‘Ebelebe’ seeing how busy the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner was.

According to Black Diamond, after wrapping up with his tours, he flew to Ghana to meet Big Wiz, hinting the onus was entirely on the individual seeking a favour to go all out for it.

He explained he spent about a month there and it was during that time he urged Wiz that they should make the song a reality and it happened.

In an interview with ‘The Beat 99.9FM’, detailing how he was able to get the ‘preoccupied’ Wizkid on ‘Ebelebe’, a song off his 2023 album, “Legend Or No Legend”, Wande said: “I know…I know…Wiz is so busy. So, what I had to do was, I had to fly to go meet him. So, I mean, when you want something; you have to go get it.

“So, what I did was, after all my concerts in December last year, I just took a trip; one month to Ghana.

“And I was there for like the whole month. And I was just like, you know what? We have to make this work and then, it happened.”
