Top Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, has shared her experiences with fame and the pressures of the music industry during a chat with American singer and actress Coco Jones.
In a Rolling Stone-produced chat, the two stars shared the realities of life of famous people, stressing on the hidden challenges they face as women in the industry.
Talking about how far she has come as a music artiste, Ayra Starr shared the tough demands of her career.
Ayra said: “I feel like it’s always a lot. People only see about 1%, but for an artist, it takes a village. It takes so much to get things done right.
“I did so many shows last year … sometimes I disappear when it gets overwhelming.
“When I go back home, I’m still living with my family.
"My brothers might be making noise and playing video games, so the house is still very much full.
“I definitely listen to close people around me, but I knew what I wanted creatively.
“I’ve always had the freedom to create whatever kind of music I wanted.”
